One such is the Sahastradhara- Thousands of Springs, which is believed to have healed many by its natural medicinal hot water springs.

The Kedarnath Yatra by Air commences from this very attractive Heliist destination. You will be welcomed by the team of Kedarnath Helicopter and will fly at around 11am in the morning to Guptkashi/Phata/Sirsi helipads. Your flight is made comfortable by our experienced, professional and highly trained pilots. You will preserve the moments when you watch the Himalayan Ranges below with lush green pastures and water streams flowing in between.
Once you reach Guptkashi you will fly in another Shuttle, as per the Government regulations, to Kedarnath.

Kedarnath- The place where Lord Shiva released ‘Maa Ganga’!
Kedarnath is the remotest of the Chardham or the four pilgrimages and is known for lord Shiva’s Temple- Kedarnath Temple. The temple is not directly accessible and cannot be reached by direct flight. Kedarnath Yatra Helicopter will drop you around 200meters from the temple and the rest can be trekked by Pony or you may choose to walk up to the temple complex.

Kedarnath Temple-Dedicated to Lord Shiva
The temple is 3583m above the sea levels and is located on the shores of Mandakini River. It is stated in legends that on the request of ‘Nara-Narayana’, who are incarnation of Lord Vishnu, agreed to dwell here. ‘Skanda Purana’ states that Lord Shiva released Ganga River from his matted hair.
The temple is the highest amongst the twelve Jyotirlingas across the country.

A triangular shaped ‘Lingam’ is worshiped in the Garbhagriha of the temple. There is a small pillared hall in front of the temple which has the images of ‘Parvathi’ and ‘Pandavas’. There five temple around the main temple namely- Badari-Kedar, Madhya Maheswara, Tunganatha, Rudranatha, and Kallesvara.
The head priest or the Raval, primarily from the ‘Veerashaiva’ community of Karnataka, does not perform the Puja. Their assistants perform the special Puja. During the winter seasons, the deities or the ‘Vigrahas’ from the temple are moved to ‘Ukhimath’ and worshiped there for six months. The temple gets opened only between Aprils (Akshaya Tritriya) to November (Kartik Purnima).
